What is hot gold process?
Hot gold has two main functions: one is surface decoration, which increases the added value of the product. Loving the celebration, the brilliant gold is the national tradition of our country, the combining of hot gold and stamping process to show
its preciousness. Second, to give the product a higher anti-counterfeiting performance, the use of holistic positioning of a hot-stamped trademark logo against counterfeiting preserves the brand. At the same time, hot gold is very capable of
demonstrating the personalization of product packaging, safety, and environmental protection. Therefore, many high-end products use the gold-burning process.
1. The hot gold principle
After a certain temperature, pressure makes its colors instantly attach to the pattern of the sheet and the text on the plastic surface.
2. Requirements for hot gold

3.Hot Gold Edition
A high-quality gold plate is the primary factor in ensuring the quality of the gold.
Currently, the production of hot gold plates mainly uses photo-corrosion processes and electronic engraving technology; the material is commonly copper or zinc plates. The copper edition material is delicate; the surface brightness and heat
transfer effect are better than those of the zinc edition. The use of a high-quality copper version can improve the glossiness and clarity of the hot gold graphics. The traditional photography corrosion technique is simple and low-cost, mainly for
text, rough lines, and general images; for more fine, graphical rough and uneven rough gold plate, it requires secondary grinding or electro-sculpture technology. Electrical sculptures can show rich and subtle levels of change, greatly expand the
packaging performance capacity, and the process is beneficial to environmental protection. But the investment in electro-sculptural equipment is large, the current depth of carving is not ideal enough, and it is easy to cause a hot gold
"blackboard." Holographic anti-counterfeiting gold plate production technology requirements are high; previously mainly made in Taiwan or abroad, the production cycle is longer and only used for fixed, larger batches of product packaging.
The hot gold version is made mainly from the following materials:
(1). Silicone adhesive plate (adhesive wheel): for general plastic shell, thickness generally 1.5 mm, temperature 180°C–380°C
(2). Copper version: apply a large amount of deep-pressure hot gold; durable. Temperature 120°C-180°C
(3). Zinc version: resistant to high temperature, high pressure, application temperature 120°C–150°C
(4). Steel version: not used.
(5). Titanium alloy version: not used
4. Rhinocerosis
The thickness of the color is 6U–35U; the factory generally uses 12U color, which is less hot. The color is thick, and the font is blurred, thinner, and clearer.
The paint is divided into five layers: PE film, detachant, coating layer, glue, and adhesive.
Classification of colors:
a. General type: generally used for ABS, PVC, PS, and PC
b. Special type (PP color bromide): generally used in PP and PE
c. Common type: ABS, PP applicable (there is better thermal resistance).
5..Characteristics of hot gold
The pattern is clear and beautiful, and the color is bright, wear-resistant, and long-lasting. In the printed signs, the use of the hot gold process accounts for more than 85%. And in graphic design, hot gold can play the role of drawing and
highlighting the design theme, especially for trademarks and registered names, where the effect is more noticeable.
